Basic Information About Dofollow and Nofollow

By Goran On August 17, 2009 Under Blogging

Since I launch this blog, I had encountered several times about the Nofollow and Dofollow attributes of a blog. So what does this words means?

According to a friend named Seth of Blogging Agenda;

Dofollow is internet slang for websites and blogs that are not using nofollow attribute. Nofollow is an attribute for links which tells search engines, like Google, not to give any authority or link juice to hyperlinks on your site. This attribute was created to minimize spammers from leaving their nasty comments with extra links. The use of highly efficient spam blockers, like Askismet nullifies much of the nofollow characteristics, especially with Google’s recent algorithm changes.

The important of comments.

Commenting other blog is not only use to communicate the author of a certain blog, but it has also the advantage to grab a chance to be followed by other commentators as well. So, if you want to be known to other bloggers and people in the virtual world of internet, consistent routine of commenting other blogs is one of the way to drive in to your blog.

I am now encouraging you to post a comments to the blogs you visit which is related to your niche and also post a comment on this blog.
